Being a pediatric dentist is truly a blessing to me. I feel honored that I get to work with children and be a part of the families that come to see us. It is amazing to have the opportunity to be able to influence, lead, and care for these children. More than anything, they have affected me and changed my life.
I love working with children and believe it is important to help foster a positive experience so that they will not be fearful. It is very rewarding to help a child who is nervous and see them leave with a smile and look forward to coming back.
Education and Continuing Education
I grew up just across the Alabama line in Pascagoula, Mississippi. I attended Mississippi State University for my undergraduate degree, and then was accepted to the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry. I received my Certificate of Pediatric Dentistry from the Medical University of South Carolina.
After graduating, I worked in a private practice and taught part-time at the Medical University. Since leaving South Carolina in 2003, I have been in private practice in Atlanta, Georgia.
I believe in the importance of staying up to date on the latest techniques and products in order to provide my patients with the best care possible. I volunteer with and attend continuing education through my memberships with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, through which I am board certified, as well as the American Dental Association and the Alabama Dental Association.
Outside the Office
My husband Wes and I have three adorable children, Brooks, Kye, and Sullivan. We also have two adorable dogs, Millie and Georgia.
In my free time, I love being involved with our church and spending quality time with family and friends. I also enjoy the outdoors, college football, playing golf, and traveling.
I am passionate about being involved in the community and helping others. I am strong in my faith and love being involved in our church. We support many charitable organizations and are involved in events with St. Jude, The Women’s Medical Center, and Prodisee Pantry, as well as the local schools.
